“The housing project of the century has attracted great interest from our nation”
Speaking at the Drawing Ceremony of 31,073 Houses in Ankara, President Erdoğan said: “We have already given our people the good news that we would build 500 thousand houses in our 81 provinces with the ‘Türkiye, the Homeowner’ project, which we launched as the largest social housing initiative in the Republican history and debuted on October 24. Praise be to Allah, the housing project of the century has attracted great interest from our nation.”

Recalling that those living in Gaza, the West Bank and other occupied Palestinian territories have once again met Ramadan with a heavy heart, President Erdoğan said: “The Israeli government is purposefully blocking the entry of humanitarian aid and thus openly violating the October agreement. Over 620 of our Gazan brothers and sisters have died a martyr’s death in Israeli attacks over the past five months despite the ceasefire. Oppressed people in many places including Somalia, Sudan and Arakan are unfortunately observing the month of Ramadan with a heavy heart. On top of that, the spiral of tensions in our region unfortunately has a tendency of spreading even further. To the clashes that broke out last week between Afghanistan and Pakistan have been added the air strikes carried out against Iran with the provocations of the Zionist lobby. The missile and kamikaze drone attacks against the brotherly countries in the Gulf have further deepened the climate of uncertainty. Unfortunately, the lands in different parts of our region remained soaked in blood and tears during these sacred days. While such incidents unfold in every corner of our geography, as Türkiye, we resolutely continue our efforts focused on peace, tranquility, and stability.”
Stressing that all the necessary precautions have been taken to keep Türkiye and the Turkish nation away from such dangers, President Erdoğan went on to say: “We are making intense efforts to achieve a fair and equitable solution to the problems through dialogue and negotiation at the table with our peace-focused diplomacy. We have mobilized our resources to ensure that our region is freed from this predicament without further bloodshed and without more hostility between brotherly countries. I would like to ask you to remember both in the prayers you say and in the aid you provide our brothers and sisters across the geography of our heart and culture during the holy month of Ramadan, which is a season of solidarity. I wholeheartedly believe that you will stand by the oppressed and the victims both with your prayers and your aid.”
