“The price of this unlawful war is being paid by the entire humanity”
Speaking at the World Economic Forum Türkiye Strategy Meeting, President Erdoğan said: “The adverse effects of the war are being felt by the entire world in a wide range of areas from energy markets to the operation of production, informatics, transportation and trade networks. As I have previously stated on different occasions, the price of this meaningless, unlawful and unnecessary war, which has deeply shaken our region for one month, is being paid by the entire humanity as well as the parties to the conflicts.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the World Economic Forum Türkiye Strategy Meeting at Dolmabahçe Presidential Office in Istanbul.
Underscoring that the global economy has in recent years been going through an agenda shaped with a recovery process after the pandemic, green and digital transformation, increasing trade tensions and geopolitical developments, President Erdoğan said: “The adverse effects of the war are being felt by the entire world in a wide range of areas from energy markets to the operation of production, informatics, transportation and trade networks. As I have previously stated on different occasions, the price of this meaningless, unlawful and unnecessary war, which has deeply shaken our region for one month, is being paid by the entire humanity as well as the parties to the conflicts. While there is an opportunity to meet at a common denominator through diplomacy and dialogue, the burden of the sabotage of all these avenues is being carried by all of us, the family of humanity.”
Stating that global risk analyses have revealed that a more competitive and more fragile period has been entered in international system, President Erdoğan noted: “The global economic order is exposed to threats from many fronts in this new period. The corrosion of energy security and supply chains, the erosion of international trade regime and protectionist policies increase fragility, and all these developments decrease the number of stable economies.”
