“The Turkish military is the most important assurance of regional and global peace”

 

Speaking at the Efes-2026 Military Exercise, President Erdoğan said: “The Turkish military is the military of peace. The Turkish military is the military of tranquility. The Turkish military is the military of stability. The Turkish military is the most important assurance of regional and global peace, tranquility and stability as well as of the security of its country and nation.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Efes-2026 Combined, Joint, and Live-Fire Field Exercise in the Seferihisar district of İzmir.

Voicing his pleasure over coming together with the attendees on the occasion of the “Distinguished Observer Day”, President Erdoğan congratulated each and every member of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff, the forces commands, and the representatives of the public institutions, who have taken part in the exercise, which has also been attended by over 1,300 personnel from 50 different countries.

“TURKISH MILITARY IS THE MILITARY OF PEACE AND STABILITY”

Underscoring that with its planning, execution, context, message, the harmony among the units, and the strategic mindset behind all this, the Efes-2026 Exercise, where hi-tech indigenous and national defense industry products are being used successfully, means more than just being an exercise, President Erdoğan stated that the Turkish military bears the memory and ideal of the geography it is in as well as of its own nation and homeland, and said: “Praise be to Allah, each and every member of our military continues to duly assume that memory and ideal. The Turkish military is the military of peace. The Turkish military is the military of tranquility. The Turkish military is the military of stability.”

“OUR MILITARY HAS DONE NO HARM TO ANYONE EXCEPT FOR HOSTILE ELEMENTS”

President Erdoğan noted: “The Turkish military have not destroyed the places it has been in throughout history, but on the contrary have restored the destroyed places. Our military has done no harm to any person, creature, tree, or city except for hostile elements, even under the most severe conditions, but on the contrary, it has revived and rebuilt the destroyed places. The Turkish military is the most important assurance of regional and global peace, tranquility and stability as well as of the security of its country and nation. I believe that the messages given by the Efes-2026 Exercise to the entire world should be clearly understood with these aspects as well.”

“TÜRKİYE DISTINGUISHES ITSELF AS ONE OF THE EFFICIENT ACTORS OF THE NEW ERA”

Stressing that the world is going through a sensitive as well as dynamic period, when security paradigms are changing, international law is losing altitude and reputation, and new security architectures are needed, President Erdoğan went on to say: “New balances and new alliances are built in the world, and yet a new order at global scale cannot be built. Our world is rapidly evolving from a status quo designed by a handful of big powers to a multipolar and multi-actor structure. The vast region, where our country is located, constitutes also the center of gravity of this process. Türkiye increasingly distinguishes itself each passing day as one of the efficient actors of the new era. While pessimistic scenarios are written regarding the future, we endeavor to bring our country to a key position in every area, regional peace in particular.”

“WE WILL CONTINUE TO DEFEND PEACE AGAINST THOSE INVESTING IN WAR”

Further pointing out that by increasing Türkiye’s deterrence, strengthening its defense capabilities, accelerating the breakthrough they have launched in defense industry, and by building new partnerships with the friends on the basis of mutual interest and respect, they seek to take Türkiye out of these stormy waters in this difficult geography, President Erdoğan said: “All our defense industry products used in the Efes-2026 Exercise are for this purpose. Our gallant military, which is one of the most powerful armed forces in the world, strives for this. Our peaceful and enterprising foreign policy based on humanitarian values is pursued for this purpose. It is this very approach that lies behind our increasing dialogue with the West while preserving our centuries-old strong ties with the East, and our efforts for cooperation from Africa to the Latin America.”

“We as Türkiye will continue to defend peace and stability against those who invest in war and chaos. We will continue to determinedly defend the shared values of the entire humanity against the gangs of genocide that massacre people, ignoring whether they are children, women or elderly in Gaza, Lebanon and other parts of our region,” President Erdoğan added.
