“Türkiye is coming to the fore as a country that sets the agenda”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s Provincial Heads Meeting in Ankara.

Noting that over the last decade Türkiye has successfully managed countless major crises that would normally have obliterated any other country, including developed ones, President Erdoğan said: “We have overcome the hardest of obstacles from natural disasters to wars. We have foiled all the traps aimed at making Türkiye a party to hot conflicts. Through our balanced and cautious foreign policy built upon a strategic mind, we have made Türkiye a key country in the settlement of crises.”

Drawing attention to Türkiye’s popularity in international politics that has been rising swiftly in recent years, President Erdoğan said: “In the search for solutions to regional problems, Türkiye’s door is being knocked on more frequently, and its stance is being followed more closely. Türkiye is coming to the fore as a country that sets the agenda rather than its agenda being set by others. We cannot thank Allah Almighty enough. In a manner befitting our glorious history, we display a strong presence in the global arena as our august nation expects of us. I want you as well as the entire 86 million to know that we have just started, and we will be at far better places in the future.”
