“We will never allow the rights of our workers to be violated”
Speaking at a meeting with representatives of employees and employers on the occasion of Labor Day, President Erdoğan said: “The efforts of each and every one of my brothers and sisters who produce at factories, work in fields, toil in workshops and sweat in offices are the foundation of the rise of this country. We will never allow the rights of you and our workers, who, just like you, earn their livings by the sweat of their brow and create added value for their country and nation, to be violated.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received representatives of employees, public servants and employers on the occasion of Labor Day at the Presidential Complex.
Reminding that they have recently ensured the solution of the problems of the miners, who staged a protest because they were not paid their receivables, President Erdoğan said: “I would like to stress once again today that we do not take any steps against our workers, laborers and employees, because what really makes this country our homeland is your sweat of brow. The efforts of each and every one of my brothers and sisters who produce at factories, work in fields, toil in workshops and sweat in offices are the foundation of the rise of this country. We will never allow the rights of you and our workers, who, just like you, earn their livings by the sweat of their brow and create added value for their country and nation, to be violated.”
“Our vision is clear,” President Erdoğan stated, and added: “We want a working life, which focusses on people, glorifies labor and strengthens social justice, to prevail in this country. And we consider our trade unions to be our companions on this path towards this important goal. We will inshallah all together continue to develop our country in unity and solidarity”.
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu were also present at the meeting.
